My New Shaklee Product Reviews of the Week!

What WAS under my kitchen sink.....

What is under my kitchen sink NOW.....

My SHAKLEE GET CLEAN Caddy

SO simple to just slip under the kitchen sink and carry around room to room while I'm cleaning.

If you are to try any TWO products...these are the ones to try. They have SO many uses!

Shaklee GET CLEAN Basic H2

Shaklee Basic G (Germicide)

Mop, dust, disinfect, clean windows, appliances! The list goes on and on!

Ok everyone! I have some new Shaklee products to review for you. Just in case you're wanting me to cut to the chase....YES I LOVED THEM ALL! Of course. Honestly, I have yet to try one of their products that left me a little disappointed. That is of course why I can't stop RAVING about them and I decided to become a distributor for Shaklee products.

Yes, I can buy products in the store that do the same thing as the products I'm using through Shaklee. BUT- they aren't safe, nor are they as cost effective. My view is that if I know that some of the household chemicals that I was using can be linked to some types of cancer (an other illnesses or disorders) and I can afford to use something safer for my family- WHY AM I NOT DOING IT? That is what made me decided to start using a Green product.

Ok- back to the point! Here are the newest products I've used since my last blog.
Shaklee Get Clean Dish Wash Automatic Concentrate: LOVED IT! (Surprise, surprise! Right?!) I only have to use 2 scoops (4 tsp total). One in the prewash and one in the regular. My dishwasher isn't 'top of the line' so I've always had to do a little rise before they ever entered the dishwasher. I'm still doing the same and I can't tell one bit of difference. Here the cost comparison for you: Cascade 78 oz (21 loads filling both cups) : $0.204/ load
Shaklee 32 oz (48 loads using 4 tsp): $0.194/load

SHAKLEE IS CHEAPER.....AND SAFER. PHOSPHATE FREE. What are phosphates you ask? They cause rivers and lakes to become clogged with masses of algae, robbing plants and animal life of oxygen. Not to mention any residue not completely rinsed on your cups or plates isn't going to harm you.

Scour Off Heavy-Duty Paste: DID A GREAT JOB! I used it on my shower which has the glass doors (which always start to look grimy after a few days of normal showering). Took the hard water and soap scum RIGHT off. It looked just as clean as when I used the Comet bathroom spary. I also used it on the boys' bathtubs.
The paste has natural abrasives and since it's a paste it doesn't form a chemical 'cloud' after you spray. Oh, and it doesn't feel like it's burning your nose hairs in in process either. It is also great to clean the burnt on food on the inside of your oven.

Soft Fabric Concentrate: It did a pretty good job. Honestly, it didn't get my laundry AS soft as the Downy I used to use. But, that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make to use a safer product. Don't get me wrong- it got my laundry soft- just not AS soft as the Downy.

Nature Bright Laundry Booster: LOVE this one too! I use it mixed in a spray bottle as a stain remover on my carpets and for pre-treating satins on laundry. I am also using it in place of bleach on my whites. It actually got some of the stains on my white dishcloths and hand towels out that the bleach wasn't even removing....and its MUCH better on the fabric. You can soak it in this stuff for DAYS and it won't hurt your fabric. Actually I used it today and didn't even pre-treat Gavin's bibs and it got the stains right out! This is defenatly on the top of my list as some of my FAVORITE Shaklee products that I have tried so far.

Basic G: Love it too! This product works like the Basic H2 but is a germicide. It kills 40 different microbes- including several animal viruses. Oh, and one quart makes 64 GALLONS! That is less than $0.30/ gallon. I have used it mixed as a mopping solution for the kitchen and bathrooms, mixed as a disinfecting spray for the kitchen and bathroom counters, and used as a toilet bowl cleaner/disinfectant. It has worked GREAT on everything I've used it for thus far.
Did you know that Shaklee products are 100% SAFE to use GUARANTEED!

Shaklee scientists search the world over to source the finest natural ingredients. Then they conduct over 350 tests on EVERY single new ingredient for heavy metals, pesticides, or any of hundreds of other harmful contaminates. The continue to condut over 80,000 quality tests annually to guarantee the purity and safety of EACH and EVERY product. There are NO- banned substances, dyes, trans fats, artifical sweeteners or flavors. Even their packaging is safe and free of toxins bisphenol-A, phthalates, and toxic inks.

This company is by no means a 'new' company. It has been around for over 50 years. AND- they've been true to nature from the begining. When you pick Shaklee, you will know three things to be true. It is ALWAYS safe. It ALWAYS works. And it's ALWAYS GREEN.

Today I've been cleaning house with my NEW SHAKLEE products! It was another performance test in the Short Household.

Today I used Shaklee's Basic-H2 on practically EVERYTHING! First I cleaned all the windows with the Basic-H2 mixed 2 drops:16 oz. water. I sprayed like I normally do with Windex and cleaned with a microfiber cloth. (I didn't go through a TON of paper towels that way.) Worked GREAT! Honestly- the only difference I see between the Basic-H2 and the Windex is that there isn't an amonia smell.

Next I dusted with the Basic-H2 mixed 1/4 tsp:16 oz water. I used it in the Get Clean spray bottle and sprayed the towel just as I would using any kind of furniture polish. Also worked FANTASTIC. It made everything shine just as well as the Pledge does and didn't leave that waxy film on everything. It did a better job in my opinion on our entertainment stand next to the TV which is a shiny black color with glass shelves. I didn't have to switch over to Windex today. I read that the Basic-H2 is non-magnetic so it is supposed to repel dust. We'll see what things look like next week when it's time to dust again.

Since my Basic-G (Germicide) won't be in until tomorrow I tried the Basic-H2 on the toilets following up with a little bleach to finish the job. I measured 1 tbsp into the toilet, scrubbed for about 20 seconds with the toilet brush, let it sit for about 2 minutes and finished with a flush. Viola! Clean toilets!

For those of you who aren't aware I have a little boy who is the spit-up king! He suffers from a little bit of acid reflux and I'm really hoping he grows out of it soon. It wasn't too bad until he started eating solids and becoming mobile. Now I'll find little spots of peach spit up in wierd places- almost like when you're trying to potty train a dog you keep stumbling onto little pee spots. So today I gave the Shaklee Nature Bright a test using it mixed 2 tbsp: 16 oz water. Worked just as well as the Reslove I normally use and on the up side it's about $23/gallon cheaper. On top of that it's non-toxic, biodegradable, and completely safe to use around the kiddos.

Well, I'm off to use the Basic-H2 on the bathroom counter tops and then to mop the floors. Both of the boys FINALLY have gone down for their naps. I decided to write this blog while I was waiting for them to drift off to sleep.

Before I sign off- I stumbled upon this website today. It shows the cost comparisons of the Shaklee Get Clean products against some of the leading national brands such as Clorox, Fantastic, 409, Woolite, Resolve, Lysol, Cascade, and Tide. Take a peek. I'm almost betting you'll be VERY surprised and how much cheaper the Shaklee products are in some comparisons. Check out this link:

Introducing Shaklee Products!

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to let you know about my new discovery! SHAKLEE!
I've been checking into some "GREEN" cleaning supplies for some time and it's SO hard to tell what it legit and what just has a "GREEN" claim. After my mother stumbled upon Shaklee products and let me try them- I'm sold.

My main reason for switching to "GREEN" products are some of the possible health risks posed to our children. There are chemicals in some of our everyday cleaning products that are known to be cancer causing. I knew these years ago, but just let it slip by. Well, in 2006 we had our first child and it just seems like you become more aware, and worry a lot more. I have decided to start using organic biodegradable cleaning products, just in case.

Not only are Shaklee products affordable, they ACTUALLY do a fantastic job without containing phosphates, borates, nitrates, and are SUPER concentrated…which means less waste.
After my mother received her products she brought them to me to test. Trust me I was very skeptical. I was almost positive that they wouldn't do near the job my regular chemicals do and thought that was just the sacrifice I would have to make to use a safer cleaning process. Was I WRONG! I was so surprised! The Basic H2 Multi-Purpose cleaner cleaned my windows just was well as my Windex using only 2 drops in 16 oz of water, and without that strong ammonia smell. 16 ounces of Basic H2 is equal to 5,824 bottles of 26 ounce Windex, and it's even proven to rival in performance on windows and mirrors.

I also recieved an e-mail today listing the other uses of the Basic H2. These are off label uses that product users have discovered on their own. Some of them include: 1-2 drops in humidifiers to prevent rust, 1-2 drops in hands to remove garlic and onion smells and tobacco stains, full strength to remove gum from skin or carpeting, use 1/2 tsp to gallon of water to fertilize rose bushes and repel red spiders, use a few drops in house plant water to make them flourish, 1/4 tsp to pint of water with solution squeezed out of a spounge to dust- makes surfaces bright and is non-magnetic making it unnecessary to dust as often, use 1/4 tsp to pint of water to remove residues of poisonous sprays. THE LIST GOES ON AND ON!

I also used the Basic H2 Multi-Purpose cleaner on my floors and they appeared to be just as clean as when I used Lysol cleaner. You can also use it as mixed as an all-purpose cleaner for your kitchen and bathrooms. You just mix ¼ tsp. to 16 oz. of water. Mix 1 ½ tsp to 16 oz. of water and you now have a degreaser.

After using those products I HAD to try the laundry detergent. First I gave it the "Gavin's Peachy Bib" test. Honestly, it worked better than the Oxy Clean stain remover I have been using….and didn't make my hands burn after pre-treating 7 bibs like the Oxy does. It also has a great smell…which I was afraid the organic products wouldn't have. It did a wonderful job on the 6 loads of laundry I've done thus far. I only have to use 2 ounces/load. That's only ¼ of a cup. And, if you have a high efficiency washer- you only have to use 1 oz!

Since I've tried these products and TOTALLY fell in love with them I have decided to become a distributor for Shaklee. Oh, and Dr. Oz has appeared on Oprah more than once recommending these products of you have decided to starting using "GREEN" cleaning supplies. They have also been seen on the Rachel Ray show.

Ok, now I'm done letting you know what I've discovered. If you have any questions about Shaklee products- let me know. I'd be glad to let you know more about what I've discovered. For more information about Shaklee feel free to check out my website. Not only do they make household cleaning supplies- they also make nutrition and beauty supplies.
